The Province has not made planning easy for Gymnastics Energy for next season.  As a result, we are once again abandoning our plans to move to an annual contract.  Based on what we do know about Ontario’s Reopening Plan all signs point to our athletes being in the gym this Summer.  You will receive emails about these summer plans later in the month. Our summer training plans are focused on safe re-entry, lots of fun, friendship and recommitting to the sport our athletes love so much!!!

FUN-draising News!!

Congratulations to our top wine selling families! Together these 2 families sold over $3K in wine & cider. We are so grateful for your support and everyone who shared the link, made a purchase, raised a glass or did all 3!

We are incredibly grateful to Fielding Estate Winery in Beamsville for offering amazing fundraising opportunities during a pandemic. With the 2 wine fundraisers, Fielding donated over $8K to Gymnastics Energy this year! A special shout out to the Fundraising team!

Once we sold the wine, we drank the wine! The Bottle Drive was a huge success!
Thank you to all who participated in some capacity to the bottle drop. From bagging and collecting empties, to dropping at the gym, to dropping at the recycling facility, to drinking to support our gym!

Bottle Drop raised just under $2K and Fielding Wine Sales raised just over $8K bringing the total for these fundraisers to $10K +

Board Member at Large, Stacey Tallman looks forward to sharing more fundraising results from a challenging year in our annual report!

Staffing Updates:

The ongoing pandemic and closure of gym programming and operations has made for a very challenging business year. As a result we have had to restructure our administration and focus on coaching recruitment as we look ahead to rebuilding programs.

The role of the Executive Director is no longer viable at this stage in rebuilding.  We thank Holly for her work, time with us and wish her all the best.

Dianne Rowan has rejoined the team in a full time Administrative Support role.

The Board of Directors hope the gym will be in a position to announce future forward positive changes to the team in the coming months.

Recreation Updates Highlights + New Sessions:

Summer Camp registration has launched & is filling up quickly.  We hope to add additional sessions so if your desired week is full, please check back or contact the office and request to be notified if a spot becomes available.  Preparations are well underway to ensure summer camp is a fun, safe adventure for all.

According to Ontario’s re-opening, we will not be able to relaunch recreational gymnastics until Step 3. We are planning for a full return to recreational programming in September. If the opportunity presents itself to start sooner we will be ready to open new classes.

Stay tuned to our social channels for up to date information.

Competitive Summer Updates MAG + WAG + Rhythmic

Once Niagara reaches Step 1 of Ontario’s new Reopening Plan we are looking forward to moving training outside under the allowable outdoor fitness restrictions.  Stay tuned for more information in the next few weeks.  Even if it is conditioning 6 feet apart we will be glad to see each other in person.

The final tuition instalment for June will be at the 40% rate and will remain that way even if we do get to add more hours when we can incorporate outdoor training.  The season was scheduled to end June 26th with a shut-down period before summer training commences.

It is anticipated there will be some training available the week of June 27th, also at no additional charge.
