Gymnastics Energy is Seeking a Competitive Men’s Artistic Coach

 

Gymnastics Energy is a not-for-profit organization that has been operating for over 50 years in
St. Catharines, Ontario.   Our custom facility opened in 2017, offering over 22,000sq feet of
space for our recreational and competitive gymnasts.  We are the largest gymnastics club in the Niagara region with the only competitive MAG program in the area. Our goals are to promote and encourage participation in the sport of gymnastics from recreational levels through to competitive. At Energy, we focus on the total well-being of the athlete, developing strength, flexibility, coordination, focus and goal setting.

Are you a Competitive MAG Coach who is interested in coaching Provincial Boys? Then we can’t wait to meet you.  We are looking for a coach that is enthusiastic, dedicated and a motivator, willing to work as a team with our MAG Program Manager and other coaches in the programand gym.

Terms of Employment:
This role is a part-time position that would be responsible for a Provincial Level boys group,
including program planning, development planning, direct coaching and inspiring young boys to reach their goals and be able to work independently. Needs to be familiar with gymnastics concepts, procedures and Competitive Men’s Artistic Gymnastics technical knowledge. Hourly wage is negotiable based on qualifications, coaching certification, and experience. We are looking for a start date of September or earlier if able. Requirements:
 2 years + experience in coaching men’s artistic gymnastics
 Minimum Competition Introduction or Level 2 NCCP Certification in Men’s Artistic
Gymnastics
 Competition 2 (Intro Advanced) and/or Competition 3 (Development) an asset
 Trampoline and Tumbling coaching certification; also an asset
 a valid first aid certificate or willing to obtain
 a current vulnerable sector criminal record check able to be provided

Are you a Recreational Coach looking for an amazing gym in Niagara?

 

Gymnastics Energy is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced coach for our recreational program. As a coach at Energy, you will be working in a busy environment as part of the largest recreational gymnastics program in the Niagara Region.

Our programming includes athletes of all ages in both men’s and women’s gymnastics as well as ninja warrior, tumbling and trampoline. Recreational classes run 4-5 days each week and evening and weekend availability is required. Our goal is to provide an inclusive program that allows recreational athletes to set and attain goals and move through our classes as they reach new levels of proficiencies.

While we are currently seeking coaches looking for part time hours of approximately 16-20 hours per week, the possibility of full time may be available for coaches willing and able to work with athletes in a variety of our programs.

 

Job Requirements:

  • A strong work ethic with a sense of fun and enthusiasm
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required
  • Foundations qualifications and Trampoline 1 required
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Risk management/Respect in Sport certification (or willing to obtain) ? Vulnerable Sector Police Background check
  • First Aid (or willing to obtain)
